This is a link to Lisa's youtube channel. Sarah Jackman said that her videos are by far the most informative and historically accurate that she has found.  

There are tons of hair and makeup videos on youtube. I just searched 1940s hair and 1940s makeup and got a lot of results. We probably want to stay away from up dos because of the wash that man scene though.
