ALL CALLBACKS that you signed up for are for TOMORROW, Monday, November 4. Callbacks on Tuesday are by invitation only.  Someone penciled in "Tuesday" on the sign up sheet, and I'm sorry I didn't catch it sooner! But ALL callback slots were for Monday.

Info coming ASAP about Theatre 2B/Lion King class

Mrs. Crane and Mr. Briggs are working very hard to finalize the roll and game plan for our new Theatre 2B class. We will be sending judge's comments and informational notes in  BEMS envelopes to your schools by Monday, April 15. The BEMS registrar will be given a list of those to be put in the class. You may be contacted to see what you want to drop for the class if you didn't make that clear on your registration. If you didn't get placed in the class, please remember WE STILL WANT YOU FOR THE SHOW!

HOLY COW!! We were blown away at the advanced level of talent headed our way, and you can be sure we will do our best to make sure that "Lion King" is an unforgettable experience for you all!

"Lion King" LEAD Audition Information (For Theatre 2B class)

Auditions for those wanting to be in the show, but not wanting major roles, will be in November 2019

Dance/Movement Audition

April 8th, 3:30-4:30 pm in the BEMS auditorium 

Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move easily in. We will teach you a simple, cool movement combination and then you will have a chance to show us your style. If you have any funny dance moves or cool moves or can tumble, you'll have a chance to show us, so come ready to play!

Acting/Singing Audition

We HIGHLY recommend being 100% memorized, using lots of big emotion, and singing with confidence. 

Step 1:  Sign up for a time slot using this link.

Step 2: Click this link to fill out an audition form.

Step 3: Select one of the acting lines found at this link to use for your acting audition. Get it memorized and add lots of personality. Speak loudly. Speak clearly.  Use a confident, strong tone. 

Step 4: Prepare a 1 minute section of any (school appropriate) song to sing for us. It can be shorter than 1 minute, but may not be longer than 1 minute. We will stop you at 1 minute. You may bring accompaniment on a device or bring piano sheet music and we'll play for you. You may also sing with no accompaniment. We are looking for confidence, volume, and good pitch (singing the right notes). 

***If you can't make the audition but still want to be considered, you must submit a link of an uploaded youtube video of your audition to vanica.crane@besd.net. BEFORE April 8.  Please be sure that your video shows your movement/dance abilities, acting, and singing.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! There is a CRAZY, unbelievable amount of talent at BEMS. I'm not kidding. This is such a difficult process to figure out the best way to cast this show. Please be cheerful and happy for those who have been chosen as leads.
